This week we celebrate the annual victory of the Sun during springtime festivities, and this supports our efforts to prepare ourselves for a new cycle of spiritual growth. In fact taking some quiet time to restore ourselves by working on our own spiritual practice, whatever that may be, is the perfect antidote to the inflammatory, hyper-emotional energy stream that has dominated this year and last.

High in the Himalayas there lies a remote valley, circumscribed by lofty mountain ranges. On the third day prior to the May Full Moon, a slow but steady stream of adepts, high lamas, magi, monks, and seekers travel through a small funnel shaped opening in the mountains.

During Sunday’s Festival of Humanity, the love of Christ and the wisdom of the Buddha are showered down upon the Earth. Spiritual disciples of all paths and lineages and religions around the world receive inspiration and instructions concerning their roles and duties for the upcoming year.

This Full Moon is conjunct dark Pluto and the Galactic Center. Pluto in Sagittarius supports the transformation of our culture’s most basic belief structures. When Pluto is conjunct the moon, which is the seat of our personal subconscious beliefs, and also the Galactic Center, the time is ripe for a total shift in consciousness, a transformation of personal and cultural values on the broadest possible scale.

This day of the Vernal Equinox is a good time to reconnect to Mother Earth with gratitude for her many gifts. It is a good time to reconnect with the sacred during the simple act of eating a meal.

Today is Candlemas, the Feast of Imbolc, the Celebration of the Solar Festival of Aquarius and the Full Moon is in Leo. With Saturn retrograde and opposing Neptune, we need extra patience, strength and tranquility.

We can say with confidence to all those confronting challenges of all kinds in their lives that NOW is the time to let go of old ways of thinking, old ways of living, old ways of coping with stress, and outdated mental maps of the world. NOW is the time to open up to new inspiration, coming to us at this Festival of Goodwill, for the eclipse is a time of endings and new beginnings.

We turn our thoughts to the Creator, or Great Spirit, and send greetings and thanks for all the gifts of Creation. Everything we need to live a good life is here on this Mother Earth. For all the love that is still around us, we gather our minds together as one and send our choicest words of greetings and thanks to the Creator.

This Harvest Moon, occurring at 16º Pisces, is ideally placed to mediate between the conflicting stellar influences, to open the hearts of all Lightworkers to the ocean of love and compassion known to the Bodhisattvas, and to provide a glowing nocturnal link to the wisdom teachings, inspiration, grace and guidance embodied in Higher Mind, Higher Self and our Spiritual Guides and Teachers.

In the northern hemisphere, the Moon will rise around sunset tonight--and not long after sunset for the next few evenings. Northern farmers who are working long days to harvest their crops before autumn take advantage of this phenomenon, which is what gives the Harvest Moon its name.
