Cosmic Weather Forecast

The chart for the spiritual new year in 2011, at zero degrees Aries, is very powerful and positive. Throughout the days to come, through the Full Moon, and past the Equinox, for the next month let us meditate together, pray together, and send energy, Reiki, and blessings to the Japanese people and to the elementals, the devas, the nature spirits in Japan, especially in the radiation-afflicted areas.

At the time of this Libra Full Moon Aries Solar Festival, we celebrate the blending of the energies of Aries and Libra. Esoterically, Aries represents the egoistic personality, and Libra the Cosmic Equilibrium of the Higher Self.

The good news is that the worst of the Grand Cardinal Cross aspects are behind us. Although the full effects of this seven year period of global turbulence will take several more years to manifest, this Libra Solar Festival weekend marks a new beginning, an opportunity to tune in to our Inner Spiritual Guidance and ask for the wisdom we require to forge new priorities and creative new ways of living that are more in tune with our needs during the current crisis of 21st Century civilization.

It's a best of times, worst of times Full Moon. The Neptune-Uranus square will dominate the Cosmic Weather patterns of 2016, so immense discernment is required to avoid being manipulated or simply making uninformed choices that will be detrimental to us and all those with whom we are related.

The conjunction of Moon, Jupiter and North Node in Virgo during this Full Moon Festival indicates that each of us can utilize the ambient cosmic energies of this highly charged moment to crystallize a long-range vision of our futures that will truly exemplify the best and highest good of all life forms on Planet Earth. We have a favorable atmosphere for all spiritual practices, for dreaming, for art, for focused relaxation, creative visualization, and enjoyment of all that soothes body, mind, heart and soul. So chillax! But don't overdo.

Shakyamuni Buddha taught that the individual Self, experienced as the egoistic personality, is an illusion, and that each of us is indissolubly united with the vast web of life that interpenetrates the physical and spiritual realms, extending throughout the space-time continuum, encompassing past, present and future. When we become fully conscious of that interdependent connection we have to the web of life, to Mother Earth and to the Heavens above us, that is the achievement of our spiritual goal in life. At that moment we are liberated and we achieve Nirvana.

The now-infamous Grand Mutable Cross forms and re-forms this month, perfecting this Sunday, June 19, and regressing into a potent T-Square on June 25. There is a fog of confusion, paranoia, anger, recrimination, and ego-inflation blanketing the collective consciousness. We are in the no-man’s land between one age and another. The way forward is uncharted. There are no gps systems that provide co-ordinates for the unfolding new world that will emerge in the new age to come. If anyone approaches you with a treasure map or some other deal that seems too good to be true, rest assured, it is!

We are now being given the opportunity to achieve greater awareness through self-transformation. The Universe is gently bringing us face to face with our control issues, our fears, our anger, and our other "sore spots" so we can relinquish our identification with these bad habits, which are not part of our essential nature in any way.

We each contain within us the ability to love, to be loved, to honor even that which we do not understand. This is our true nature. We each contain within us the ability to change, to offer kindness to strangers, to see violence around us and choose the path of peace.

We can expect that this Full Moon Penumbral Eclipse in the Cardinal sign of Aries will pump up the tense, conflicted energy that is being unleashed by the recurring Grand Cardinal Cross. However there are also several potent Trine aspects that indicate ease and grace, and promise that if we make an effort to connect with our spiritual guidance we will find we have all we need to navigate through the economic, political and environmental crises unfolding simultaneously on Planet Earth today.

This month the sky is filled with signs and portents of earth-shaking change, some hopeful, some ominous, and the energy streaming in to us from the Cosmos is so powerful that our very physical vessels are challenged to maintain equilibrium. The task of humanity is to step forward into the Light with courage. The courageous are not necessarily fearless at all. The courageous are those who follow their Higher Purpose despite their fear!

Our task as a species is to become increasingly aware of our part in the web of life on Earth so that we can become conscious co-creators of a new Anthropocene civilization that will reverse human-created global warming, and invent sustainable human societies that live in harmony and balance with the Earth. This is a good week to meditate upon this epochal transition and how we can do our part to usher in the new.
