Large Zambian Citrine Infinite Energy Wand by Kings Amao

This 5.5 inch long Large Zambian Citrine Infinite Energy Wand by Kings Amao, weighing 381 grams or 9.34 ounces, was cut by Master Lapidary Kings Amao, who worked for many years with Marcel Vogel's first crystal cutter, Drew Tousley, and who created many of the outstanding Vogel wands featured over the years at Crystal Wings in Mt. Shasta, California.

You'll notice some lovely wispy cloud inclusions and a smattering of small mica like highly reflective inclusions in the shaft near the female end of the wand, which only enhance the beauty of this masterful creation.

Kings designed this beauty to amplify and transmit the energy of unconditional love for healing and meditation, in the spirit of Marcel Vogel, who believed that the loving heart of the energy practitioner is the key to physical, emotional and mental healing.

King's unique hand-cut faceting creates an incredible visual texture.

You'll notice two large slightly concave highly polished broad, convex faceted surfaces on top and bottom, forming a stylized lemniscate.

The lemniscate is a figure-8, and the word comes from the Latin lēmniscātus meaning "decorated with ribbons", and ultimately from the Greek λημνίσκος meaning "ribbon". 

The lemniscate is associated with Tarot Trump I, The Magician, who wields an energy wand in the Waite Tarot deck.

The lemniscate signifies the boundless, infinite nature of energy fields, which underlie and sustain the visible, material forms of nature we see manifest around us. 

There are two large flat faceted surfaces on either side of two lemniscates, giving the surface of the wand a distinct 21st Century retro-Art Deco look and feel.

The narrower sides of this gorgeous energy healing wand each contain a distinct highly polished thin, slightly concave facet, directing energy and your attention to the male termination tip.

These long, narrow concave facets extend onto the male and female termination tips, creating windows between the faces of the two tips.

The male tip features four four-sided faces ending in a prominent, sharp point. The female tip features four wider four-sided faces ending in a less acute angular point.

This is truly one of the most complex, artful and energetically powerful designs for a healing crystal that I have seen in over twenty years of working with Vogel wands.

Mineralogical and Metaphysical Properties of Citrine

The color of citrine derives from small amounts (approximately 40 parts per million) of iron in the quartz.

The difference between citrine and amethyst is only the oxidation state of the iron present in the quartz. Citrine typically is formed when an amethyst becomes heated to the point where the iron held within the crystal undergoes a further stage of oxidation. 

Citrine activates, opens and energizes the third chakra, including the navel and solar plexus, stimulating both the physical body and the mind, increasing endurance and elevating energy levels while promoting emotional balance (unlike other stimulants such as caffeine). Citrine is an excellent stone for clearing the aura of negative emotions.

Because it energizes the navel/solar plexus chakra, Citrine is said to aid in digestion and to activate the thymus, which regulates our immune system, thus promoting health and well-being. In addition, citrine is said to provide a feeling of comfort and optimism.

 I must admit, that when I wear or work with citrine, I have a great sense of well being and protection.

Citrine also stimulates the crown chakra, our doorway to Cosmic Consciousness, and helps unite the seven lower chakras and the physical body with the energy frequency of the Higher Self, aligning the eighth chakra with the rest of the energy body.

In our experience, citrine cleanses the emotional and etheric bodies, and stimulates the holder’s vital energies and physical body. It imparts a strong sense of protection if worn on the body or placed in a room where energy work takes place or groups gather.

In addition, citrine is an ideal gemstone for protection.

Used to strengthen the aura and surround the bearer in a bubble of golden light, citrine provides the bearer with a safe, secure personal space, free from the interference of negative or unwanted individual or collective thought forms, deleterious emotional states projected by others, and even inauspicious astrological influences, which can be literally burned away when they encounter such a strong golden aura as citrine helps to create.

Used in energy healing, citrine is said to transmit the golden light of unity consciousness, which is tuned to the very highest vibrations of an open eighth chakra -- the chakra above the crown of the head, said by the Western New Age chakra system to be the location of the Higher Self.

When Jane and I have used citrine in Reiki and crystal energy sessions with clients, they have reported feeling a golden glow around them.
