This large Chatoyant Apophyllite Druzy Cluster from Pune, India, features a huge carpet of Apophyllite gemstone crystals growing on top of a white matrix, visible on the rear of the specimen. This Apophyllite Druzy Cluster is 6 inches long and weighs 446 grams, or 15.7 ounces, and has great luminosity and luster and a beautiful coherent form.

The name apophyllite refers to a specific group of phylosilicate minerals, a class of minerals that also includes the micas.
The highest quality grades of apophyllite come from Pune, India, and can be pearly white, translucent and green in coloration will and exhibits a translucent pearly sheen on the shaft of the crystal formation and transparent, vitreous prism faces.
