Properties of Amethyst

Amethyst Brilliant Cut Pendant w/White Topaz

This 'Brilliant Cut' Amethyst Pendant with White Topaz Trillion Accent Stone is both a Lightworker's power tool and gem aficionado's collector's item. Most amethyst is highly included, so it is very rare to find amethyst that is this clear. This stone is set into a sterling silver setting which allows the stone to breath, and hangs on its sterling silver chain right on the thymus between the throat and the heart chakras, offering protection to the whole body resonating through the compassionate heart.

The combination of Amethyst and White Topaz energizes and activates the crown and third eye chakras, enhancing the bearer's ability to access spiritual truths and facilitating the ability to connect to inner spiritual guidance while visualizing and manifesting our deepest desires for the best and highest good of ourselves and all those in our lives.

Amethyst is the gemstone variety of quartz, produced by the presence of manganese in clear quartz crystal. Increments of iron within the crystal as it formed vary the color of the amethyst, which ranges from pale lilac to deep purple. Amethyst has been popular with royalty, sages, mystics and magicians for centuries.

“Fine amethysts are featured in the British Crown Jewels and were also a favorite of Catherine the Great and Egyptian royalty,” according to the International Colored Gemstone Association.

“Leonardo Da Vinci wrote that amethyst was able to dissipate evil thoughts and quicken the intelligence,” according to the ICGA website.

“Because amethyst was thought to encourage celibacy and symbolize piety, amethyst was very important in the ornamentation of Catholic and other churches in the Middle Ages. It was, in particular, considered to be the stone of bishops and they still often wear amethyst rings,” continues the ICGA. “In Tibet, amethyst is considered to be sacred to Buddha and rosaries are often fashioned from it.”

Amethyst is said to enhance spirituality, raise the vibrational level of the holder, cleanse the astral, etheric and physical bodies, and produce a peaceful, tranquil state of mind.

The color violet is associated with the crown chakra in the Western chakra system, and so this extremely bright violet amethyst is said by crystal healers to activate and energize the crown chakra, connecting the bearer to Higher Mind, Higher Realms and inner spiritual guidance from extremely elevated and reliable Sources.

Amethyst Brilliant Cut Pendant w/White TopazIn the pantheon of modern day New Age Guides and Teachers, the Count de Saint Germain is called “The World Teacher” and “The Master of the Violet Ray” and is thought to communicate mind-to-mind with many, many students around the world.

Stones with a violet or purple hue, and especially amethyst, are associated with St. Germain, and resonate with the energy signature of the Violet Flame.

There is thought to be a large contingent of his students alive today in the United States, the center of modern Empire, just as Paris was the center of European Empire at the time of St. Germain.

Many New Age students of St. Germain utilize crystals and gemstones in their spiritual practice, for healing and in meditation, in a modern alchemical quest for Higher Self, Higher Mind and Higher Purpose. Modern New Age practice encompasses a belief in the theory of karma and reincarnation. The belief in reincarnation has its roots in the Hindu and Egyptian Mystery School traditions, and is fundamental to the Greek Mystery School Tradition of the pre-Socratic philosophers.

New Age students of the Ancient Wisdom Teachings often utilize crystals and gemstones, along with meditation techniques, Reiki and past life regression therapy to access memories of past lives, and to release the detrimental patterns of behavior, negative emotions and outmoded mental maps of the world imprinted in our cells, our hearts, our minds and our karma from traumas experienced aeons ago.

Many of these modern acolytes of the Great Alchemist utilize crystals and gemstones thought to resonate with the energy vibration of the Violet Ray, which is said to be used under the guidance of St. Germain for purification and to raise the kundalini energy in a quest for Unity Consciousness. Such crystals and gems include especially amethyst, that violet colored form of quartz once so favored by the Pope and Bishops of the Catholic Church.

Amethyst is classically the stone of sobriety, purity and chastity and would be an excellent stone for those with tendencies toward addictive behavior, or for those spiritual seekers intent upon transformation through the progressive purification of mind, body and aura.

Mineralogical and Metaphysical Properties of White Topaz

Topaz is an extremely hard gemstone composed of Aluminum Fluorsilicate, which often grows as orthorhombic crystals in igneous, high-temperature rock formations. Gem quality Topaz can be found in a variety of colors, from colorless to pale greenish-yellow, yellow, orange-yellow and even blue.

Amethyst Brilliant Cut Pendant w/White Topaz

Topaz is a prismatic crystal which seems to hold the qualities of the etheric, both as an attractor and as a conductor. It aids in manifestation through catalytic action "while the vibratory resonance acts with an ethereal magnetic effect" and can be used to manifest health and to "correct disorders of the body" according to Melody. She further states in her book, "Love is in the Earth" that topaz is "a stone of true love and success in all endeavors".

Topaz gets its name from the ancient Red Sea island once known as "Topazios", now called St. John's. Legend has it that the word "Topazios" meant "to seek" and that the island where this stone was first found was always surrounded by thick fog, making access to the stone difficult at best.

Topaz has been considered a valuable spiritual ally by the African bushmen for millennia.Their shamanic practitioners have used Topaz in traditional healing ceremonies, to connect with spirits departed from the Earth plane, and especially to attract wealth and health.

Topaz is known as a stone of love and worldly success. Topaz infuses the wearer with confidence while dispelling the fog of self-doubts and expels negativity from the user while encouraging attitudes of playfulness, joy and creativity. For these reasons, Topaz is thought to be the ideal stone to strengthen attitudes and energies of self-love.
