Welcome to the September 2025 Cosmic Weather Forecast by Curtis Lang with Jane Sherry! We celebrate the Corn Moon, and a Total Full Blood Moon Eclipse, on Sunday, September 7, 2025.
The Full Moon will pass completely into the Earth's shadow at that time, blocking the light the Moon receives from the Sun. The small amount of light reflected from the Earth's periphery onto the Moon will be reddish in color, since the Earth's atmosphere scatters blue light. The result will be a characteristic Total Full Blood Moon.
This Total Full Blood Moon Eclipse will be visible in Europe, Asia, Australia and Africa, but not in the Americas, where we will see a typical Full Moon.
Two weeks later, on September 21st, a Virgo New Moon Partial Solar Eclipse will be visible in Australia and the Pacific Ocean, but not in America.
This two week long eclipse interval will influence the collective consciousness of all humanity, as we transition from a long hot summer to the welcome crisp air, bright colors and cool breezes that characterize the fall season on the East Coast of the United States.
September 2025, Cosmic Weather Forecast
On Sunday, September 7th at 2:09 PM Eastern time we celebrate the Total Full Blood Moon Eclipse occurring at 15 degrees and 23 minutes of Pisces, opposed by the Sun at the same degree of Virgo. The Sabian Symbol for that degree of Pisces is "In the quiet of his study a creative individual experiences a flow of inspiration."
This Full Moon the veil between worlds will thin, the boundaries between the Self and the collective consciousness will become porous, and we will have the opportunity to act as a channel for archetypal energies seeking a positive expression in response to the felt needs of suffering humanity.
You may receive messages from the Universe in the form of synchronicities and meaningful coincidences.
You may simply have an urge to merge with the astral realms, to indulge in altered states of consciousness for their own sake.
Positive Jupiter aspects indicate the potential for consciousness expansion, enhanced energy levels and powerful emotional responses that help us to bring unconscious patterns of behavior into conscious awareness for recognition, healing and release.

Mars in Libra square Jupiter in Cancer provides an abundance of physical and psychic energy that will support us in literary, artistic, or spiritual pursuits of all kinds.
At the same time, the Moon trine Jupiter also supports us in our creative endeavors as we open the doors wide to the transpersonal realms of consciousness, where we come in contact with the powerful energies represented by the archetypical figures that populate the astral realms of consciousness.
With these beneficial aspects, we can welcome the mystical into our lives.
The outer planets maintain their supportive positive aspects to one another this Full Moon week, so we will all benefit from a period of relative calm in the social relations that have been so stormy in all areas of life all over the world so far this year.
This Full Moon we are in the beginning of an ending. We are entering a potent eclipse interval this September, a portal leading into an unexplored land, where our mental maps of the world no longer can show us our way.
We are entering a realm of high adventure, characterized by elevated risks, where our choices will open new pathways in life. The new paths we choose this month could determine the course of events in our lives over the months and even years to come.
This eclipse interval between September's Full Moon Eclipse and the New Moon Solar Eclipse to come creates a boundary between our status quo of the last couple of decades and the inauguration of the Era of Air and Fire, when astrologers see the potential for either a Global Renaissance or a Global Conflagration -- or for anything transformative in between.
The Era of Air and Fire begins in earnest in February 2026, when Neptune and Saturn conjunct at 0 degrees Aries at the midpoint between Uranus in Gemini and Pluto in Aquarius.

Going forward this month, on September 21st at 3:54 PM Eastern time, the New Moon in the final degree of Virgo joins the Sun in the sky and both luminaries oppose both Saturn and Neptune.
To top it off, the conjoined Sun and Moon at the Virgo/Libra cusp form a Grand Air Trine with Uranus in Gemini and Pluto in Aquarius.

With the Sun/Moon opposing Saturn/Neptune, accompanied by a Grand Air Trine, we can anticipate a time of continuing social breakdown which is also an ideal time for vision questing and imagining new social relations.
As our current status quo hydrocarbon based civilization, divided into warring factions led by America and China, begins to crack under the strain of coping with the current global polycrisis, there is a sense of urgency in the air.
Extreme weather events are challenging the ability of governments and insurance companies to maintain and reconstruct coastal and inland cities damaged year after year by mega-storms, long term droughts, flash floods, earthquakes, volcanoes and sea level rise.
Agricultural production is threatened in the years to come everywhere in the world.
Resources needed for the global transition to a civilization powered by electricity are scarce, and fossil fuels are increasingly more expensive to obtain.
The post World War II global social, financial and security contract underwritten by the Pax Americana has been shredded by Donald Trump.

The unipolar moment of undisputed American Empire is crumbling before our eyes but a new multipolar world order has yet to emerge.

The stars are aligned to support humanity's quest for a new set of collective solutions to today's intractable global problems and conflicts.
With the New Era of Air and Fire dawning all around us, we can reinvent our own humanity, or we can sink down into the depths of human bestiality.
Global Renaissance or Global Conflagration. The choice is ours.
The current global polycrisis is above all a spiritual crisis.
The Universe is asking humanity to behave as a grown up species on planet Earth.
We are asked to leave behind childish dreams of limitless economic growth, greed and conquest.
We are asked to envision new dreams, and to imagine a new world civilization. Nothing less will do. This is written in our stars.
We know that to survive and thrive as a species, we must rise above our tribal instincts and reject narrow, divisive conflicts between religions, ideologies, and belief systems.
We are challenged to use our spiritual guidance and our creative imagination to envision new ways of being in the world together.
We are prompted to address the needs of suffering humanity in a spirit of goodwill and co-operation, because the alternative is mutual destruction.
Now is the time to allow ourselves the freedom to imagine new ways of living in the world, and new ways to relate to the web of life in which we exist.
The interval between the Full Moon on September 7th and the New Moon on September 21st is an ideal time for envisioning our new lives.

As summer comes to a close, autumn energies enter the yearly seasonal cycle, energizing our collective consciousness.

The Sun enters the social sign of Libra, symbolizing the need for constant adjustment of the dynamic equilibrium necessary to maintain right human relations between self and other, between individual and social priorities.
Libra is often pictured as Lady Justice for that reason.
As part of the establishment of that dynamic equilibrium, at the time of the autumn equinox, humanity focuses on the process of transformation and ascension that is the goal of all spiritual aspirants on planet Earth.
For most human beings now alive on planet Earth, the primary task this lifetime is to elevate the life force energy, chi, or prana, from the third to the fourth chakra, from the belly to the heart.
Elevating our energy to the heart chakra is the key to successful ascension practices, opening the doorway to transpersonal consciousness, arousing feelings of compassion for all sentient beings, and creating a link to Christ Consciousness and Buddha Mind, enabling us to transcend the limitations of our egoistic personalities.

Let us meditate together for a moment on the life cycle of the butterfly -- this perennial image of successful spiritual evolution.
It is no coincidence that the Sabian Symbol for the first degree of Libra, and the Autumn Equinox, is Transfiguration: In a Collection of Perfect Specimens of Many Biological Forms, A Butterfly Plays the Beauty of Its Wings, Its Body Impaled by a Fine Dart.

The earthbound caterpillar explores its garden world, searches for plant life that will fuel its growth, feeds upon the plants around it, and in its heedless hunger can debilitate or destroy the plants that are the source of its own sustenance and shelter.
At a certain point in its evolution, the caterpillar turns inward, and sacrifices the form and life it has known previously.
After a period of gestation and hibernation, in retreat from the outside world, the caterpillar re-emerges as a beautiful butterfly.
The translucent butterfly has a Higher Purpose in the world than merely to feed and perpetuate its own species.
Empowered to soar above the plants upon which it had previously struggled to inch its way, the butterfly spreads the pollen of the plants it visits, extending plant lives and habitat rather than threatening them, as it did when it visited them in its caterpillar incarnation.
The butterfly does not eat plants, it drinks nectar, reproduces, and soars above the garden.
The butterfly has undergone a spiritual evolution as well as a physical metamorphosis.
This amazing creature, which began life as a garden predator and pest, has become one of the most essential garden helpers and one of the most giving of garden creatures.
Thus the butterfly has long been considered a model for human psychic development among mystery schools of both the East and the West.
Christian symbolism depicts the caterpillar to butterfly moment of spiritual elevation in the story of Christ’s Transfiguration in the Garden of Gethsemane.

When Christ was impaled by a ray of light from the Heavenly Father, illuminating his mind and heart, he foresaw the path of suffering and redemption that lay before him.
At that moment Christ understood the sacrifice that was being prepared for him, the nature of his death, and the gravity of the work he must undertake in preparation for his glorious Resurrection.
The image of the butterfly impaled by a pin pictures the elevation of the individual existence to the realm of archetype, the expansion of the individuated time-bound egocentric personality into Cosmic, timeless, Unity Consciousness.
This moment is at one and the same time the Dark Night of the Soul and the antechamber of Eternity.
The initiate must surrender completely to the path of Spirit, and in that surrender lies illumination.
The very first step on the Ascension path is Surrender.
The Autumn Equinox is the moment for that surrender -- the turning point of the year when energies that had entered the very roots of creation, supporting the summer growth of the animal and vegetal kingdoms, now turn upward on the Ascension path.

On the Autumn Equinox, Archangel Uriel, Master of Universal Life Force Energy, who has been directing and energizing the growth cycle of plants and animals during the summer months, surrenders his position as Seasonal Archangel to Archangel Michael, who comes armed with subtle fire and a sword of iron, to redirect the Cosmic Forces descending from the Stars and the Life Force Energy welling up from deep within the Earth toward the support of accelerated spiritual growth.
Energy which has been stimulating the three lower chakras during the earth's energetic exhalation during summer, now begins to stimulate the heart, the throat, third eye and crown.
At the autumnal equinox we enter the season of increasing darkness, when the subtle senses must become ever more acute to guide us ever upward toward our lofty yearly spiritual goal -- giving birth to the Divine within ourselves.

That rebirth is scheduled for the period of the Winter Solstice, and much work must be done to purify and attune the physical, emotional, mental and energetic vehicles of the human body in preparation for that new birth.
Take this opportunity at the Autumn Equinox to call upon Archangel Michael. Ask Michael to guide you along your own personal path of Spirit. Ask Michael for protection from all energies that would impede you on your way. Ask Michael to remove all obstacles, inner and outer, from your Ascension path.
May you Ascend safely and freely, with the aid of the Archangel of Autumn, whom we honor at this time of year.
The Autumn Equinox is always about balancing social and individual needs and priorities, and about balancing the energy of male and female within each one of us.
So this is the perfect time to take a step back from impulsive action, meditate to attain clear vision, and then be sure that your intended actions reflect the best and highest good for all involved.
