Welcome to the March 2026 Cosmic Weather Forecast by Curtis Lang with Jane Sherry. I wrote most of this newsletter last week, prior to the onset of the war on Iran, so I am offering a quick take on the war, which is followed by our normal programming.

On Saturday February 28th, Donald Trump and Benjamin Netanyahu launched a regime change war in Iran. Initial strikes demolished the living quarters of Iran's Supreme Leader, the 86 year old Ayatollah Khameini, killing Khameini, his daughter and a grandchild. An estimated 48 other senior Iranian officials were also killed during the initial strikes.
On Sunday, March 1st, Trump told The New York Times he hoped that in the wake of the strikes, the Iranian Revolutionary Guard would simply surrender, and the entire government would be replaced with a more compliant regime.
“What we did in Venezuela, I think, is the perfect, the perfect scenario,” Mr. Trump said.
Reality is not co-operating and Trump's visions appear more like delusions today. Khameini's martyrdom has united the pious Iranian people in an existential fight to the death against America and Israel, the Iranian military has demonstrated that it functions well as a highly distributed fighting force throughout the region, and the Iranian Revolutionary Guard has refused further negotiations with Trump.
The Iranians seem at this point to be determined to inflict the maximum damage possible to American assets and American allies in the Middle East, and are increasing the frequency of missile attacks on Israel day by day.
Iran has engineered a remarkable escalation of the war, which has already spread throughout the Middle East. Iranian missiles have struck military bases, luxury hotels and other high value targets in Israel, Bahrain, Iraq, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Kuwait.

The Straits of Hormuz are effectively closed, and insurers are now refusing to issue policies for ships sailing through the Persian Gulf.
Nevertheless, Chinese, Iranian and Russian ships continue to enjoy safe passage through the strategically crucial maritime corridor that is used to supply 20% of the world's oil supplies.
Now, the "Peace President" Donald Trump says the war will continue for "about four weeks", although he provides no insight into America's goals, priorities, strategy, or tactics for this month long war of choice.
It should be noted that high ranking military officers and Pentagon insiders had been pushing back on Trump's delusions of grandeur, prior to the first strikes.
Pentagon officials have warned that a sustained war with Iran could quickly deplete US stockpiles of arms and munitions in the Middle East battle arena, and that the situation could easily "spiral out of control", according to The Washington Post.
The US military is built to deliver shock and awe. America excels at short, overwhelming attacks.
Iran's military is built for wars of attrition.
Iran is estimated to have tens of thousands of inexpensive drones and missiles while the US and Israel rely on both offensive and defensive missiles that are wildly expensive and in short supply.
“The US military has been long overinvesting in stunningly expensive weapons platforms — think fighter jets or ships — while wildly underinvesting in actually in the industrial capacity to manufacture missiles, bullets, artillery shells, and rockets themselves.” says Garrett M. Graff (@vermontgmg), a contributing editor at WIRED and a director at The Aspen Institute. He is the author of the No. 1 national bestseller The Only Plane in the Sky: An Oral History of 9/11.
As of today, The Wall Street Journal is already warning that the war against Iran might last longer than we have missiles to fight it.
Astrologically, this is an ill omened war.
Mars squared Uranus on Friday, February 27, two days after Mercury turned retrograde on February 25, in the middle of the highly charged zone between the Solar eclipse of February 17th, and the Lunar Blood Moon eclipse coming tomorrow, March 3rd, just one week after the epochal February 20th Saturn/Neptune conjunction at the Zero Aries Point.
As we have mentioned in numerous previous newsletters, the Zero Aries Point event carries the potential to trigger latent conflicts and incubate highly destructive major wars around the world.

Neptune at the Aries/Pisces cusp clouds consciousness, as does Mercury retrograde in Pisces.
Picture a hot, steamy fog surrounding this military confrontation, with Mercury retrograde in Pisces, which is one of the worst possible placements for mental clarity and the successful implementation of highly complex strategic maneuvers of all kinds.
The Blood Moon Eclipse is the icing on this poisonous cake, promising unexpected unpleasant consequences for any party that initiates a conflict during the February/March eclipse window.
Mistakes have already been made, such as Kuwait "mistakenly" shooting down 3 US F-15 jets.
The effects of the February/March eclipses will unfold across the next several months.
Expect more confusion, delusion, gaslighting, tactical errors, and strategic blunders to come.
March 2026 Cosmic Weather Forecast
For the first time in many years there was no newsletter last month.
An extreme ice storm that extended from Texas through the Mid-Atlantic states the week before the February Full Moon in Leo was forecast to crystallize an inch or more of ice on trees and power lines here at Satya Center, so Jane and I took a trip to Florida to visit family and hit the beach. It was cold, but delightful.
The big astrological event of February 2026 was, of course, the Saturn/Neptune conjunction at the 0º Aries Point on February 20th, an event last seen in the year 4361 BC, the year astrologers assign to the previous conjunction of Saturn and Neptune at the Zero Point of Aries.
The yearly seasonal cycle and the astrological New Year begin every spring Equinox at the time when the Sun reaches 0º Aries, so this point in the Zodiacal round is associated with birth, renewal, and resurrection.
This once in every 6387 or so years event, the Saturn/Neptune conjunction at 0º Aries, at this exact Zodiacal birthing point, indicates that something entirely novel is sprouting in humanity's collective consciousness in 2026.
The new consciousness is visible only in embryonic form at this time, and even its earliest stirrings are shrouded in astral, Neptunian fog, but we can expect that this new way of being in the world will reveal itself more fully during the next few years, while Saturn and Neptune transit Aries, and for many years to come.

The next few years represent an apocalyptic battle for the soul of humanity which will be visible in the astral realms, inscribed with figures composed of fire and air.

We will individually and collectively choose either peace or war, compassion or exploitation, unbridled greed or empathy and right human relations.
These choices are representative of the higher and lower vibrations of the energy of Saturn in Aries and Neptune in Aries.
The lower vibrations of Saturn and Neptune in Aries can manifest as extreme fundamentalist religions, racist political formations and predatory ruling classes engaged in a war of all against all on the world stage.

Such exclusivistic Neptunian group minds create rigidly hierarchical Saturnine societies replete with autocratic rulers, rapacious elites, and powerful priestly castes.
These societies often unite to elevate warlords who extol purity of race and bloodline, reinforcing the Saturnine boundaries between the superior human beings who possess the true faith and/or superior genetic inheritance and the sub-human outsiders who are to be exploited, suppressed and even killed.
The higher vibration of the Neptune/Saturn conjunction in Aries represents the infusion of the subtle energy of the fire element into the Neptunian collective consciousness -- the awakening of Higher Mind catalyzed by the presence of the Holy Spirit-- and the Saturnine grounding of this fiery energy of Holy Spirit in new social relations, new inventions, new artistic creations, and new religious experiences, unmediated by any priestly elite, and unbound by the scripture found in any holy book of revealed truths.
It is up to each of us to choose the high road or the low road at this moment of the Saturn/Neptune conjunction at the Aries Zero Point.
The choices we make as individuals and as a species will ultimately be reflected in the world around us.
The collective consciousness gives birth to humanity's New Age, an age of Fire and Air.

We are already seeing the dawning of this New Age of Fire and Air.
As a result of the burning of fossil fuels, and the emission of greenhouse gases, the air around us is warming rapidly every single year, and every single year that warming is accelerating.
The New Age of Fire and Air is the age of humanity's response to the onset of our new climate regime, a change from a Goldilocks climate, which we have enjoyed for the last 12,000 years, into a new set of global ecosystems that will be shaped by global temperatures of at least 4º C above what has been typical throughout recorded history.
"Climate models predict that Earth's global average temperature will rise an additional 4° C (7.2° F) during the 21st Century if greenhouse gas levels continue to rise at present levels," reports the University Corporation for Atmospheric Research. UCAR manages the U.S. National Science Foundation National Center for Atmospheric Research (NSF NCAR) on behalf of NSF.

The London Economist is the most astute right wing publication in the Anglosphere, so not at all a hotbed of environmentalism, and in 2021 they released a video entitled See What Three Degrees of Global Warming Looks Like.
According to the Economist, "If global temperatures rise three degrees Celsius above pre-industrial levels, the results would be catastrophic. It’s an entirely plausible scenario, and this film shows you what it would look like."
But we are set to surpass that level of catastrophe if we continue business as usual, and reach a geologically anomalous 4 degrees of warming this century. What could happen then?
The British actuarial association, a group of elite number crunchers who lay out the mathematical scenarios that underpin the rates insurance companies charge their customers, released a report entitled Planetary Solvency which projects that at just 2 degrees of warming, global GDP losses would be around 25%, accompanied by around 2 billion deaths.
The actuaries predict that at 2 degrees of warming, which we can expect to see sometime in the 2030s, we will experience Global Insolvency, and in addition to the all important demise of capitalism, the deaths of one of every 4 humans on the planet.
That's bad enough to turn all of Wall Street's bulls into perma-bears in another decade or so.
At 3-4 degrees of warming, the insurance company's data wizards project a 50% loss of global GDP, with approximately 4 billion dead.
We have altered the planet's climate more in the last couple of hundred years than it historically would change over many, many millennia, and this is the result.
The World Bank, which represents the interests of global financiers, and not environmentalists, issued a report in 2012 entitled, "Turn down the heat ~ Why a 4°C warmer world must be avoided." A Report for the World Bank by the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research and Climate Analytics.
"A global mean temperature change of 4°C is close to the difference between the temperatures of the present day and those of the last ice age, when much of central Europe and the northern United States were covered with kilometers of ice, and the current change—human induced—is occurring at a much faster rate, over a century, not millennia," the World Bank warns us.

This level of warming would make it virtually impossible to work outside for 40-70% of the year in the tropics and mid-latitudes, resulting in massive damage to global agricultural output.
Climate change velocity would be much too high for land and aquatic species to adapt to the new climate regime quickly enough to survive and thrive.
Ocean warming and acidification would be so rapid and intense that global fisheries could be decimated.
Global sea level rise of one meter or more would place most of the world's largest cities at grave risk.
"In a worst case scenario of accelerating emissions, a billion people could face a situation of displacement or face intolerable Sahara Desert-like heat for every additional 1 degree Celsius rise in temperature," according to a 2020 study by the National Academy of Sciences."
At 4°C of warming around 4 billion people on Earth would face intolerable conditions and immense pressure to leave their homes as refugees in order to relocate to safer locations.
"The last time Earth’s average temperature was 4°C warmer than pre-industrial levels was around 5-10 million years ago," according to the fact checkers at The Conversation. "To put that in context, modern humans have existed for the last 200,000 years and civilized societies began to form only around 6,000 years ago."

Yes, that's right.
What we think of as human civilization began to form around the time of the most recent Neptune/Saturn conjunction at the Aries Zero Point in approximately 4361 BC, give or take a few hundred years.
"Sumer was first settled by humans from 4500 to 4000 B.C., though it is probable that some settlers arrived much earlier," according to History.com. Villages and towns were erected around farming communities, where archeologists find evidence of carpentry, pottery making, production of textiles and brewing of beer.
There is no record of any written language from this period known to us, but the seeds of modern civilization had indeed been sown.
These Sumerian villages eventually grew into fortified city states, surrounded by walls, over the next 1000--2000 years, where they birthed such innovations as the first known written language, highly stratified social relations, elaborate governmental institutions, taxation and monumental architecture, exemplified by the ziggurats.

Now the 6,000 year cycle that birthed this urbanized form of human civilization is coming to an end, for good or ill.
Now we are planting the seeds for a New Aeon, and what will eventually become a global post-hydrocarbon human civilization, with a restructured set of global ecosystems, a new world order, and a new bundle of social, political and economic relations that will define how humans live together for perhaps thousands of years to come.
Will the human population shrink to 1/10 its size?
Will the descendants of the survivors of climate catastrophe congregate in the near Arctic regions when the majority of the planet becomes inhospitable to human life?
Or will humanity take the high road and work together to create in true Saturnian fashion a new ideal civilization living in harmony with the Earth's ecological boundaries?
Will right human relations guide the new civilization on planet Earth?
Astrology holds out hope in what at the moment appears to be one of humanity's darkest hours.
Saturn/Neptune Conjunction at Zero Degrees Aries
A close look at the Saturn/Neptune Conjunction at Zero Degrees Aries January 20, 2026 Dawn Astrological Chart, pictured above, shows that the historic conjunction forms a transit triangle with Uranus and Pluto in Aquarius, creating beneficial aspects between the planets involved.
Saturn and Neptune both form sextiles with Uranus and Pluto, while Uranus and Pluto form a weak but perfecting trine.
This configuration was not present in the chart for 4361 B.C.
This planetary configuration indicates complete Uranian transformation of Saturnine institutions and Neptunian collective human consciousness in response to irresistible Plutonian evolutionary pressures in a harmonious way, over time.

Virgo Full Blood Moon Eclipse Cosmic Weather Forecast
The Virgo Full Blood Moon Eclipse reaches its peak on the morning of Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at 6:38 A.M. Eastern Time as we celebrate the Pisces Solar Festival.
The Sun in Pisces trines Jupiter in Cancer, while the Moon in Virgo sextiles Jupiter, creating a strong sense of flow in our lives, and this configuration promises access to ease and grace in all that we do.

We will want to make a conscious effort to access that ease and grace through meditation, prayer, visualization and ritual during this Full Blood Moon Eclipse, which features the legendary Neptune/Saturn conjunction at the Zero Point of Aries and a potent, tense square between Mars in Pisces at the Aquarius cusp and Uranus in the last degrees of Taurus.
At the time of the Full Blood Moon Eclipse in Virgo, we will be in the middle of a Mercury retrograde cycle in Pisces, so we may feel somewhat spacey and our thinking might be muddled.
All in all, it's probably best to pause before lashing out, no matter how strongly you are provoked, to take a beat and to connect with intuitive guidance for further instructions.
No worries, though.
The winged messenger will resume forward motion on the heels of the New Moon on February 19th.

Mercury stations direct in Pisces on March 20, 2026, and we celebrate the Spring Equinox, the moment in the yearly seasonal cycle when the Sun appears to an observer on Earth to cross the Equator, night and day are approximately equal in length, and the season of Spring begins in the Northern Hemisphere.
We celebrate the triumph of love, life and light over darkness and death at the start of the Astrological New Year, on the Vernal Equinox.
This is a time of equal day and equal night, and in the Aquarian Age the Spring Equinox is a celebration of the Divine Lovers.

Sun, Moon, Venus, Chiron, Saturn and Neptune will all be in Aries, with Venus and the Moon squaring Jupiter in Cancer.
That's a rocket taking off, turbocharging our Venus/Moon governed emotional life and our determination to achieve our deepest held spiritual and material goals.
You'll feel the energy of the Spring Equinox blast off for several days prior to and following March 20th, and the effects of what is initiated during this time will reverberate for months to come.
This is one of the best times in 2026 to begin a new project, enter into a new pathway in your life, sign a new contract, or initiate a new partnership for business or pleasure.

All planets remain in forward motion until Pluto stations on May 6th, so there's a wide window of opportunity that's opening for you during this next month or two, and we will all feel a rush of energy that we can use to attain unexpected progress toward our material and spiritual goals.
So stay strong and maintain a positive attitude. Be prepared to accept better than expected positive outcomes in every area of life.
I know it seems counterintuitive with all the turmoil in the world this year, but the next couple of months provide an opportunity for us all to initiate a new spiritual springtime in our lives, no matter our age.

Humanity's future is not set in stone.
The epochal astrological outer planet configurations we are experiencing in 2026 point to a complete restructuring of our current global hydrocarbon based capitalist civilization, which is clearly past its sell by date, unable to provide solutions to the current intransigent problems of accelerating climate change, unprecedented economic inequality, rapidly dwindling natural resources, religious and racial conflict, and the rapid erosion of democratic institutions and the rule of law.
The intense, positive configurations of outer planets over the next several decades offer the opportunity for the beginnings of a Global Renaissance, but we also recognize the very real threat of neo-Imperialist resource wars and strengthening techno-feudalism.
The Saturn/Neptune conjunction at the Zero Aries Point could symbolize the dawn of an era of "might makes right" politics all across the globe, the rise of warring armies of religious fundamentalists and of rule by racist eugenicist material rationalist technologists with no respect for Mother Earth or for the human soul.

Around the world, our governments have been captured by the billionaires and the shareholders of giant trans national corporations, and it often appears that the rest of us are simply onlookers in the current global melodrama.
On the other hand, the Zero Aries Saturn/Neptune conjunction could indicate the Saturnine materialization of the Neptunian loving wisdom of Christ Consciousness and Buddha Mind, the institution of human civilization based upon following the dharma, not simply manifesting dark karma.
Collectively we have the power and the wisdom to engage with our greatest fears and take steps to overcome the seemingly inflexible ideological and political rigidity that characterizes our current global civilization in every country around the world.
Together we can confront the powers that be and demand that nations, peoples, and religions unite in their common interest and take meaningful steps to minimize the suffering that is sure to come as the current climate emergency unfolds over the decades to come.
Most importantly, we need to act as the light bearers who will catalyze a revolution in human consciousness.
