Welcome to the October 2025 Cosmic Weather Forecast by Curtis Lang with Jane Sherry! We celebrate a Full Super Moon on Monday October 6. Earth, Sun and Moon align in the sky, with the Moon nearing its closest possible approach to Earth.

During a Super Moon, the Moon appears around 30% brighter to an observer on Earth, tidal forces reach a maximum, and strong seismic events sometimes occur.
This Full Aries Super Harvest Moon is synchronized with the the Libra Solar Festival, as we celebrate the midpoint of the astrological year, which begins with the Spring Equinox at the Pisces Aries cusp, during the third week of March.
The Libra interval of the year is a great time to reflect on the lessons learned during the last six months and to adjust any outworn toxic habits, unrealistic expectations and mistaken mental maps of the world in light of the developments in our lives since the Spring Equinox.

Tarot Trump VIII, Adjustment, aka Balance, Thoth Tarot
Libra is after all, about adjustment, the ongoing process of maintaining a dynamic equilibrium within ourselves as the world changes around us. Libra also challenges us to fine tune the balance we seek in our most important social relations.
Now is the time to reflect and then take action to maintain that dynamic equilibrium in every area of our lives.
October 2025 Aries Full Moon Cosmic Weather Forecast
We celebrate the Aries Full Super Moon on Monday October 6th, at 11:47 PM Eastern time. The Moon, at 14°08' 12" Aries opposes the Sun at 14° 08' 27" Libra.
We honor the tension between the demands of the individual, symbolized by Moon in Aries and constraints of life within a collective, the society we inhabit, symbolized by Sun in Libra.
Our emotional life is in a heightened state, infused with dynamic Aries energy.

We seek instant gratification under this influence.
We revel in competitions with others, quick on the trigger and short on forethought as we seek to attain our goals.
We enjoy a tingly, warm feeling from the Aries Harvest Moon, and we celebrate a superabundance of life force energy at this time, resulting in enhanced courage and a willingness to take on new challenges, whether physical, emotional, mental or spiritual.
If you've been putting off getting to the gym, tackling a thorny backlogged to-do list, or plunging into a new life adventure that requires a major career or relationship shift, now is the time to make some moves.
On the Full Moon, Mercury in secretive, plain-talking Scorpio will square slow-moving, volcanic Pluto in chilly, highly mental Aquarius.
The truths we speak, or don't speak, this Full Moon week, will evoke deep, Plutonic reactions from those around us, and the mental reverberations that emanate from this revelatory sharing could trigger deep transformations in relationships during the days, weeks, and months ahead.
With Mercury and Mars both in the early degrees of Scorpio, sign of the truth-teller, the poisoner, the snake, and the soaring eagle, we will be prompted to spontaneously speak our truth without filters of any kind, and generally to let our freak flag fly.
Needless to say, when a person has Mercury and Mars in early Scorpio, there is a tremendous polarization between the Libran influence, epitomized by the inquiring, harmonizing, liberating intellect and the unstoppable force of profoundly deep Scorpionic emotions.
The personality will want to utilize the intellect to harness and direct the individual's superabundance of life force energy and emotional intensity toward physical, emotional, mental and spiritual goals in life.
A highly developed ability to exercise self-control is essential for spiritual growth for persons with Mercury and Mars in early Scorpio, and is generally positive, unless self-control becomes self-repression, in which case explosive emotional outbursts will be the least destructive of various negative outcomes.
The Full Super Moon in Aries will turbocharge the energy of Mars/Mercury in early Scorpio this week, so we might all do well to exercise self-control in all things, especially in how we communicate with others.
We will benefit from making it our intent to communicate our truths to others in a way that takes account of their point of view, in true Libra fashion, and in that way everyone will enjoy a positive exchange of energies.
To aid in setting this intention, as we reflect upon the dissonant energy signature of planets in the early degrees of Scorpio, it is helpful to review the figure of the Prince of Cups in the Thoth Tarot.

Prince of Cups, Thoth Tarot
The Prince sits in a Chariot drawn by an Eagle over a lake. His right hand holds an inverted Lotus flower and he stares into his left hand, which holds a cup. A snake spirals upwards from the depths of the cup.
His Eagle, the symbol of the spiritual side of Scorpio, powers his Chariot. The Prince flies through the mental element of Libran air, gliding above the unplumbed depths of the Scorpionic lake below him. This symbolizes the airy mental powers of self-control the Prince uses to remain free from the potentially destructive emotional intensity represented by the deep, Scorpionic lake of unconscious motivations.
The snake rising from the cup indicates the practice of alchemical sublimation, or ascension, whereby energies are redirected from the lower chakras into the higher energy centers.
This Full Super Moon in Aries, we would be best served by emulating the mental acuity and spiritual self-control exhibited by the Prince of Cups. Meditation, ritual, invocation, prayer, yoga, tai-chi and qi-gong could be very helpful during this interval of time.
This is also a great time to utilize ritual practices to manifest all that we most intensely desire in our lives.
The potent Scorpionic influence can help us super-charge our visualizations, maintain unwavering intent, operate with extreme mental clarity, and thus perform a powerful, magical act.
Rituals done under the influence of this Aries Full Super Moon have the potential to magnetize us so that we attract what is for our best and highest good at this time, as we celebrate harvest season amid a transitional moment of seasonal change.
As we assert ourselves in the realms of Mercury and Mars this week, the influence of the Sun in Libra during this potent Full Moon can provide us with energies supporting inner stability, balance, and poise.
At this time of the Libra Solar Festival, we have the opportunity to choose harmony in our lives, and our choices can help us avoid aggressive behavior and impulsive decision making during the Aries Full Super Moon.
The Sabian Symbol for the Sun this Libra Solar Festival is Circular Paths, "Coming to terms with the inevitability of establishing steady rhythms of social activity." We are challenged to bring our activities into harmony with the vast planetary and cosmic rhythms of the Universe, rather than reacting blindly to the unconscious gravitational pull of transitory memes encountered in the digital world, blinkered group-think and inflamed in-group biases.
Now we can transcend political and religious infighting and identify ourselves with the shared human activities corresponding to the perennial patterns of seasonal cycles, as we enter the Fall season, under the glow of the Super-Bright Full Harvest Moon, which occurs in October this year.
We have so much in common with one another, despite our many differences and despite the conflicts sparked by cynical politicians and religious leaders seeking to harness our energies to their schemes to dominate their neighbors and enemies.
Now is the time to focus on the positive aspects of life in a hyper-social networked world. We each have a lot that is positive to share with one another if we choose to engage in a balanced exchange of energies with those around us.
Now is the time in our yearly seasonal cycle to tend to our garden, metaphorically, to harvest the fruits of our labor that have ripened during the last six months of this astrological year, and to share those fruits with our friends, our family, our neighbors, and our entire community in a spirit of goodwill.
In this way we can establish right human relations as the basis for all energy exchanges in our lives.
Pursuing balance in our relationships, we elevate our energies into the higher chakras.
As we make the adjustments required to maintain a dynamic equilibrium in all our relations, our energy shifts and by the law of resonance and attraction, we open an energetic doorway leading into a new, higher spiral of the seasonal cycle of right human relations that can optimize our own spiritual development while we nurture and develop the seeds of Spirit in all those around us.
Cosmic Weather Forecast for the Lunar Month Ahead -- and Beyond
Looking past this Full Super Moon, the latter part of the month features increasingly intense stellar configurations in Water signs. I am anticipating a veritable waterfall of emotions.
On October 18th, we see a Grand Trine in water forming. Mercury and Mars conjunct in Scorpio trine Jupiter in Cancer and Saturn in Pisces. Communications are deep. Points are made. Good fortune comes to those who speak up for themselves and to those who can humbly work for the common good.
Exercise discernment in the midst of astral glamours, misdirection, propaganda and a fog of confusion regarding crucial world events and day to day routines alike. Cups are full, but is the drink a love potion or a slow acting poison?
Maintain integrity, self-consciousness and self-control. Be as self-contained as the Prince of Cups.
This Scorpio-inflected Grand Water Trine brings out the mystic in all of us. We explore extra sensory perceptions. Our vision extends beyond the material world.
We awaken to the perception of subtle energy realms, and we develop X-Ray vision that allows to see deeply into the minds and hearts of men and women alike.
This fall, the season of the Grand Water Trine, will also see an upwelling of emotion among those on the spiritual path, because this Cosmic Weather pattern encourages the experience of transpersonal realms of consciousness.
We could find ourselves exploring Neptunian realms of oceanic feelings. We might experience a vision of the interconnected, interdependent nature of all living beings and we may feel a surge of compassion for the sentient beings with whom we share our Universe.
Working with the watery energy through sustained effort in our spiritual practices, whatever they may be, will certainly yield rich rewards during this autumn's harvest season.
The good news this month is that the stars are aligned for spiritual progress throughout this fall season.
Go to a Forest. Walk slowly. Breathe. After a while, a power spot beckons. You sit. This is the healing way of Shinrin-yoku Forest Therapy. Simply being in the forest is your best medicine.
These recurring Grand Trines in Water will persist through mid-December of this year, so the entire fall season is likely to be a time of great passion in our personal lives and tumultuous emotional upheavals in the collective consciousness.
Recall that this Aries Full Moon week, there is a superabundance of warlike energy visible on the world stage. Mars joins Mercury in secretive, plain-talking Scorpio. Mercury in Scorpio will square slow-moving, volcanic Pluto in chilly, highly mental Aquarius.
Threats issued under this Mars ruled Aries Super Moon spiced with powerful Scorpionic influences will not be idle bluster.
Conflicts initiated or escalated in the early part of this month could have devastating consequences for all parties involved.
To the leaders of these warring countries, these conflicts are like a game of chess, and their people are mere pawns who bleed, starve, and suffer.
The Ukraine War drags on, and Europe increasingly lusts for a hot war with Russia that would instantly escalate into continent incinerating missile exchanges.
Donald Trump has sent substantial military resources into the area around Venezuela in preparation for a planned incursion into that country to combat drug cartels, who primarily operate in other Latin American countries, and such incursions could easily lead to an all out war to achieve regime change.
Peace talks between Israel and Palestine continue to sputter along, with reports of potential cease fire agreements this week, but on Friday, October 3rd, Trump threatened military action against Hamas on his Truth Social platform: "If this LAST CHANCE agreement is not reached, all HELL, like no one has ever seen before, will break out against Hamas."
Also this week, the US sent fighter jets and aerial refueling tankers to the Middle East, sparking fears of another US strike against Iran.
Meanwhile, most people in America remain unaware of the scale and ferocity of the civil war in Sudan, "a conflict that is thought to have killed more than 150,000 people, forced some 14 million from their homes and sparked a famine, becoming the world’s biggest humanitarian crisis," according to a report by Bloomberg News.
During the fall season this year, marked by Grand Water Trines, the collective consciousness of humanity is likely to be inundated with great waves of deep emotion in response to chaotic world events that sweep through entire nations as great powers clash throughout the world in a monumental set of conflicts impacting the lives of millions.
With Scorpionic energy triggering Mars and Mercury, hot wars and cold wars will escalate for a time, but with Jupiter in Cancer offsetting the worst Scorpionic excesses, and providing a steady, gentle, nurturing energy, the worst outcomes will hopefully be avoided.
We would all do well to pray for help and guidance for all of suffering humanity, and to send loving energy to the collective consciousness this fall Grand Water Trine season, when the portals between worlds thin.
Even the potentially confusing and chaotic influence of the Neptune/Saturn conjunction in Pisces, which features prominently throughout much of the fall season, will eventually be transmuted by Jupiter in Cancer into a disciplined, realistic drive to implement the ideals of good will and right human relations among all humanity.
At that point, we will be nearly to the Winter Solstice, a sacred time when we will celebrate the dawn of a new hope for humanity during a very dark season of the year.
At that time we will engage in spiritual practices designed to stimulate the birth of Christ Consciousness within our psyche, and we will sing with joy.

Jane and I affirm that at the time of this Full Harvest Moon we all receive the grace and guidance we require to achieve our loftiest spiritual and material goals.
We send you waves of love and beams of light.
Meditation Moment: Roar by Ranjit Hoskote
Roar
Roar now or never
as we enter the garden of last lines
In this closing act
recall the shattered mountains
bend to the cough of a car engine
that should have purred
oil that rusty door hanging off its hinges
with a red velvet rag caught in it
nibble at the remembered plate of brown rice
sprinkled with crisp onion rings
outline the man saluting a flag
with a black cat perched on his other shoulder
Roar now or never
ask what is speech
that does not disguise its incendiary intent
does not betray the guileless traveller
does not carrot you with a better world
does not stick you with robot slogans
does not kill a zigzag with a homily
does not claim to save your soul
does not lay down the law on what comes next
does not embalm the hoisted dictator in song
does not capsize as it carries you across
the dividing river of fire
