Potential Fukushima Global Irradiation Event Part Deux

Grand Cardinal CrossAs noted in the the June Cosmic Weather Forecast Part Onefor many years astrologers have been predicting a series of global financial crises to begin in 2008 and contine through the second decade of the 21st century, all related to a very rare outer planet Grand Cardinal Crossand especially, a series of Uranus-Pluto Squares. Read Part One of this month's Cosmic Weather Forecast for the complete big picture overview of this month's amazing Celestial weather patterns.

The timing of Pluto’s entry into Capricorn, on January 25, 2008, puts the planet of sub-molecular transformation in the sign associated with big business, big government and big finance, and coincided with the beginning of the present economic crisis, which was predicted on this web site in February 2008 in an article I wrote entitled " The Coming Collapse of Globalization". Pluto will remain in Capricorn until March 23, 2023.

The immediate effects are likely to include the further collapse of the global financial system, massive environmental catastrophes, social upheaval, and potential warfare among classes, nations, religions and races.

According to an article on our website entitled Clarifying the Timeline of Change: 2012 and Beyond! by Master Astrologer Bill Herbst, who has written over 100 articles on the Grand Cardinal Cross of the Early 21st Century, June 2012 is the pivotal moment when the awesome scope of the changes in human civilization we have been experiencing will become apparent to the bulk of humanity, and many more aware individuals will understand intuitively that there is no “going home again”, that the changes we are experiencing are irrevocable and that human experience of life on Earth will never be the same.

We provide a timely update on the ongoing financial meltdown of the European Union in the June Cosmic Weather Forecast Part Two.

Astrologers who attempt to predict future trends and events associate the planet Pluto with the energy of purifying disruption and total renovation of outmoded or diseased elements. Thus when Pluto enters Capricorn a total restructuring of our large financial, corporate and governmental systems seems assured.

Nuclear Radiation Hazard Warning!

Pluto is also the planet of nuclear power, and as such, presides over events such as the catastrophic March 2011 meltdown of multiple nuclear power plants in Fukushima, Japan. Many astrologers have predicted that our nuclear power industry and nuclear weapons industries will undergo complete transformation during the period of Pluto in Capricorn, and the Fukushima disaster appears to have initiated a global debate on the dangers of nuclear power of all kinds.

The mainstream media have not followed the progress of this story effectively since March 2011, but I have been following the non-progress on the clean-up of the Fukushima Daichi nuclear plant and the potential for another earthquake in that area that could release more radiation into the atmosphere and the Pacific Ocean than the human mind can, frankly, comprehend. This entire scenario reeks of the Pluto-Uranus square energy and it is intuitively obvious that this could be a major trigger for the world to wake up to the dangers of nuclear power and nuclear weapons in a way we’ve never seen before. That’s the good news.

There has not been much in the US news media about this ongoing crisis, but you may have seen this week that blue fin tuna on the West Coast have been discovered to contain cesium, although official sources say not to worry it is only a small fraction of normal background radiation anyway.

Well, there’s also a vast, continent-spanning wave of Fukushima debris headed toward the West Coast, expected to hit everywhere from Alaska to LA but we’re also told that is not radioactive either because it was created by the tsunami, which took place before the meltdowns occurred at the nuclear plant.

The fact is that the Fukushima reactors are still emitting a variety of radioactive isotopes into the air, and these airborne particles can travel on the jetstream across the Pacific, and throughout the northern hemisphere.

The fact is that the Japanese must cool the Fukushima reactors with millions of gallons of water to keep them from going critical again and are dumping millions of gallons of this used radioactive water into their own watertable and into Tokyo Bay and into the Pacific Ocean. This is somewhat worrisome to independent experts who cannot predict the effects on Japanese soil and on the Pacific Ocean food-chain.

“Indeed, an island of Japanese debris the size of California is hitting the West Coast of North America … and some of it is radioactive,” reports Washington’s Blog, which I have found a good source of Fukushima updates.

“In addition to radioactive debris, MIT says that seawater which is itself radioactive may begin hitting the West Coast within 5 years. Given that the debris is hitting faster than predicted, it is possible that the radioactive seawater will as well,” Washington’s Blog continues.

“And the Congressional Research Service admitted:

However, there remains the slight potential for a relatively narrow corridor of highly contaminated water leading away from Japan …’

“. . .Transport by ocean currents is much slower,” the Congressional Research Service explains, “and additional radiation from this source might eventually also be detected in North Pacific waters under U.S. jurisdiction, even months after its release. Regardless of slow ocean transport, the long half-life of radioactive cesium isotopes means that radioactive contaminants could remain a valid concern for years.”

“Indeed,” Washington’s Blog continues, “nuclear expert Robert Alvarez – senior policy adviser to the Energy Department’s secretary and deputy assistant secretary for national security and the environment from 1993 to 1999 – wrote yesterday:

‘According to a previously secret 1955 memo from the U.S. Atomic Energy Commission regarding concerns of the British government over contaminated tuna, “dissipation of radioactive fall-out in ocean waters is not a gradual spreading out of the activity from the region with the highest concentration to uncontaminated regions, but that in all probability the process results in scattered pockets and streams of higher radioactive materials in the Pacific. We can speculate that tuna which now show radioactivity from ingested materials [this is in 1955, not today] have been living, in or have passed through, such pockets; or have been feeding on plant and animal life which has been exposed in those areas.”

“Because of the huge amounts of radioactive water Tepco is dumping into the Pacific Ocean, and the fact that the current pushes waters from Japan to the West Coast of North America, at least some of these radioactive ‘streams’ or ‘hot spots’ will likely end up impacting the West Coast,” Washington’s Blog concludes.

More worrisome is the fact that Japanese geologists are predicting a very high probability, up to 90% probability of an earthquake at Fukushima that would destroy the highly compromised reactor structures -- sometime in the next three years.

What’s the deal with that?

Well, I’ve gathered some sources for you to check out.

Science writer Robert X. Cringely wrote a very good story recently called “Fukushima Daiichi Requires a Manhattan Project Approach to Avoid Another Nuclear Accident”.

Cringely says, “Understand that I have some cred in this space having worked three decades ago as an investigator for the Presidential Commission on the Accident at Three Mile Island and later wrote a book about that accident. I also ran for 20 years a technology consulting business in Japan.”

(TEPCO), workers operate a modified Putzmeister 70Z, the world's largest concrete pump mounted on a truck, to pump contaminated water from the Unit 4 at the tsunami-damaged Fukushima Dai-ichi nuclear power plant in Okumamachi, Fukushima Prefecture, northeastern Japan, Tuesday, April 12, 2011. (Tokyo Electric Power Co., courtesy of Cryptome.org.)

“Here’s the problem: In the damaged Unit 4 at Fukushima Daiichi there are right now 1,535 fuel rods that have yet to be removed from the doomed reactor. The best case estimate of how long it will take to remove those rods is three years. Next to the Unit 4 reactor and in other places on the same site there are more than 9,000 spent fuel rods stored mainly in pools of water but in some spots exposed to the air and cooled by water jets.  The total volume of unstable nuclear fuel on the site exceeds 11,000 rods. Again, the best estimate of how long it will take to remove all this fuel and spent fuel is 10 years -- but it may well take longer.”

“Fukushima has always been a seismically active area,” Cringely explains. “Called the Japan Trench Subduction Zone, it has experienced nine seismic events of magnitude 7 or greater since 1973. There was a 5.8 earthquake in 1993; a 7.1 in 2003; a 7.2 earthquake in 2005; and a 6.2 earthquake offshore of the Fukushima facility just last year, all of which caused shutdowns or damage to nuclear plants. Even small earthquakes can damage nuclear plants: a 6.8 quake on Japan’s west coast in 2007 cost TEPCO $5.62 billion.”

“But last year’s 9.0 earthquake and tsunami made things far worse, further destabilizing the local geology,” warns Cringely. “According to recently revised estimates by the Japanese government, the probability of an earthquake of 7.0 magnitude or greater in the region during the next three years is now 90 percent. The Unit 4 reactor building that was substantially damaged by the tsunami and subsequent explosions will not survive a 7.0 earthquake.”

“An earthquake of 7.0 or greater is likely to disrupt cooling water flow and further damage fuel storage pools possibly making them leak. If this happens the fuel rods will be exposed, will get hotter and eventually melt, puddling in the reactor basement and beneath the former storage ponds. This is a nuclear meltdown, which will lead to catastrophic (though non-nuclear) explosions and the release of radioactive gases, especially Cesium 137.”

“The amount of Cesium 137 in the fuel rods at Fukushima Daiichi is the equivalent of 85 Chernobyls,” Cringely estimates.

“To review, there is a 90 percent chance of a large earthquake in the minimum three years required to remove just the most unstable part of the fuel load at Fukushima Daiichi. The probability of a large earthquake in the 10 years required to completely defuel the plant is virtually 100 percent. If a big earthquake happens before that fuel is gone there will be global environmental catastrophe with many deaths,” concludes Cringely.

Washington’s Blog Fukushima Crisis Summary

These articles contain pointers to a wealth of good information you will not be seeing on American or British TV News.

The point of giving you these updates on Plutonian financial problems and potential Plutonian nuclear nightmares is absolutely not to manifest negativity, but rather to provide the kind of factual information that is necessary for us to develop our powers of discernment and thus provide our intuitive spiritual guidance with the raw data necessary to enable us to grasp, perceive, intuit and envision mental maps of probability paths into the future that are in accord with the “facts on the ground” here on planet Earth, rather than being exercises in mere wishful thinking or sugar-coated optimism, which will not be helpful in a time of unprecedented global civilizational crisis.

The spiritual guidance I am receiving is quite clear. I am to reveal these issues to you with as much unadulterated truth as can be told, and it is up to each one of us to summon the courage we need to move forward despite our fears to create our own reality separate from the consensus reality, a reality that will enable each of us, our loved ones, and our chosen communities to weather the coming storms.

This is a spiritual practice -- the practice of the spiritual warrior. The best projections of astrologers, financial experts, scientists and environmentalists suggest that we will have time to forge new ways of living within the shell of the dying world of Industrial HydroCarbon Empire.

Indeed that is our task and our joy. To create a new culture, a new life, and a new spirituality which is rooted in community and respect for life and the environment, based upon a true brotherhood and sisterhood of all humanity.

It is a spiritual practice to participate in efforts to end the use of nuclear power in all its forms on planet Earth, as used in nuclear weapons and for any so-called peaceful purposes. We must heed the call to participate in this arduous spiritual practice.

Call your Congresspeople and call the White House and demand that they engage with the Japanese government to institute a globally funded clean-up of Fukushima before it is too late. Join with groups dedicated to closing nuclear plants in America and demand that nuclear weapons be de-commissioned and neutralized everywhere in the world.
