Garden Seeds Prayer was inspired by the agriculture lectures of the Austrian mystic and clairvoyant spiritual scientist, Rudolf Steiner. It was created in late winter as a garden talisman, (see also The Seeds Within) to insure that the plants in our garden received the proper nourishment from physical and spiritual forces. The piece deals with the aspirations of both plants and gardeners. As gardeners we seek to create abundant and vital herbs, flowers & vegetables with which to feed ourselves, and in doing so we honor the nature spirits and the land and sky itself. The piece depicts the role we play when we work in partnership with Nature. When we plant seeds, we are providing our own energy (seen as yellow & orange colored strokes emanating from the hand) along with the seeds as they are put onto the ground. Therefore biodynamic farmers and other earth energy workers believe that our own state of mind, our emotions and our mental health, all contribute energy to the garden and the plants that we grow. Remember to thank the spirits of the land, the plants, animals, devas and nature spirits as you work in the soil, in partnership with all of life. The original Garden Seeds Prayer is a pastel drawing on rag paper and is set into a small painted gold wood  frame. Digital print on archival matter paper is set into a 6 1/2" x 5" gold wood frame.
