It has a beautiful and unique rosy green pattern which will enliven any altar or room in which it is placed. I have been looking for gem crystal bowls for offerings on our altar for a long time and was thrilled to finally find a wonderful supplier for these beauties, made in India, each piece is unique & amazing. We use them on our altar to hold flowers, water & also to hold small gemstones which we work with in meditation such as phenacite, apatite, topaz, scapalite and tourmalines. I have found Ruby Zoisite to be very helpful in activating a grounding, centering & elevating energy. I have used it to empower & energize my anointing oils, to clear & charge up a large space & to encourage a feeling of calm, of being centered & energized all at once.  Ruby is a beautiful stone in a color range which includes pink, crimson and red to orange red. Ruby is an extraordinary stone for opening and protecting the heart chakra assisting with one's "ultimate values" and "further stimulates the loving emotional side toward nurturing, bringing spiritual wisdom, health, knowledge, and wealth" according to Melody in her fine book, "Love is in the Earth". It resonates to a very high frequency of unconditional love and is known as the "stone of nobility" .Further, according to Melody, it has been used to stabilize one's wealth, it being said that if one has ruby, wealth will never depart. It encourages us to follow our bliss, bringing clarity to our mental state, lucidity to the dream state and helping is to make sense of this in the physical realm. It also has healing properties for the heart, in aiding in eliminating toxins from the body and in it's ability to help to heal the earth. It is a deeply balancing stone, helps to eliminate stagnant energies from our physical and etheric bodies and helps to align us with Love toward ourselves and others. Melody says, that "ruby crystals from India are said to be pieces from the spear of Lord Krishna, used during the Vedic ages to vanquish the Lord of Destruction from the Earth." Zoisite is a calcium aluminum silicate, often with some iron and manganese and is in the same group as epidote & tanzanite. Its color ranges from gray, yellowish brown, greenish, pink, blue (tanzanite) to violet. It is a fairly hard stone with a hardness value of 6-6.5. Its orthorhombic form often occurs in long prismatic crystals which are deeply striated along the length. Zoisite is a very uncommon mineral found in metamorphic rock and is found all over the world from Norway, where it was first discovered to Tanzania & California. In meditation, Zoisite is a tool for peace: peace of mind, peace of body & peace of spirit. It allows for the gentle unfolding of ones Higher Purpose. Lightworkers and crystal healers can use zoisite as an alchemical stone of transformation. Zoisite has been used as a tool to completely transmute negative energy fields within an environment such as a room, a house, a garden or even an entire enighborhood. My personal experience in meditating with zoisite has been very powerful. When feeling beset by negative emotions and thoughtforms in my surroundings, which I knew filled the entire neighborhood -- for a variety of reasons -- I took the zoisite in my right hand, the transmitting hand, and entered a deep meditative state. I asked my Spiritual Guides and Teachers and my Guardian Angel for protection and help and set my intent that the zoisite should amplify the power of my positive emotions and thoughts, for the best and highest good of all those in my personal space and in the surrounding area. I felt that the zoisite acted as a powerful conduit of energy from Source, which I felt filling my aura, pacifying my mind and opening my heart. Then I felt the zoisite's power as an omnidirectional amplifier of energy. The zoisite seemed to create a bubble of golden light around me and that field of golden energy began to expand, rippling outward. As the rippling golden light encountered dark, cloudy fields of tangled emotions and conflicted thoughtforms in the area immediately around me, I felt the ripples of golden light begin to literally decompose the dark, heavy, negative energy field. The negative energy began to disintegrate into tiny, insignificant shreds, as the powerful golden ripples of light continued to strengthen and expand the bubble of alchemical transmutation I had created with my prayerful intent. I have also found that zoisite is a powerful gemstone ally for use in dreamtime.
