This piece is a beautiful triangular slim wand shape, with fabulous termination on one end and small turrets along the body of this wand. This beauty offers its myriad of turrets & points and its flash of lavenders & deep violets with flashing golden highlights throughout the entire wand! This slim wand is so comfortable to hold in the hand, it can be used in meditation or any kind of energy work. This unique, amazingly luminous Ametrine material was showcased in Gem and Gemology magazine at the time it was mined, in the mid-nneties because even then the color was considered to be so unique, the formation so intriguing. It is very high energy old material and until now, has been held in a private collection until it was recently exclusively offered to Satya Center. This Bolivian Ametrine is all natural, totally untreated material. There is an ametrine shortage in the American market right now, and ametrine is increasingly dear to mineral collectors and Lightworkers worldwide. We have found it very difficult to find Ametrine to obtain for either jewelry or as rough material the last year or so. Production in the mines where ametrine is found have slowed way down, and the Japanese and Europeans pay so much more than the prices prevalent in the American market for the limited quantities available. Nor is the dollar the most desirable currency in Brazil or many other countries who prefer "reals" or "euros". Thus availability in the American market goes down and prices in America go up. The look and feel is very similar to Himalayan Ice Quartz. This ametrine exhibits beautiful growth interference formations that sometimes contain elestial castle and turret outgrowths and other exotic features, most apparent are the streams of golden light held within the stone from the citrine deposits. When held up to the light, this ametrine has an amazing translucence, with violet, purple and golden stripes and splotches of intensely radiant luminosity. Ametrine is a combination of two powerful semi-precious stones, amethyst and citrine. Energetically, the combination of amethyst and citrine acts as a powerful protective and purifying influence, strengthening the aura, which is, after all the best protection. Amethyst is a form of quartz crystal with impurities that lend the stone its characteristic color, ranging from pale blue to deep purple.Citrine is less common in nature than amethyst, but both are found in quartz veins, as well as volcanic locations and elsewhere in nature. The color of citrine derives from small amounts (approximately 40 parts per million) of iron impurities in the quartz. The difference between citrine and amethyst is only the oxidation state of the iron impurities present in the quartz. Citrine is a form of quartz characterized by a yellow color, ranging from white to deep copper. Citrine's color is a result of iron impurities occurring naturally within the crystal. Citrine typically is formed as an amethyst which becomes heated to the point where the iron held within the crystal undergoes a further stage of oxidation. Sometimes, when crystals are subject to uneven heating within the earth, amethyst and citrine are found mixed within the same formation. This is known as ametrine, and can be quite beautiful. Ametrine combines the purifying and elevating energies of amethyst with the cleansing and energizing properties of citrine. According to Melody’s valuable book, Love is in the Earth, citrine is one of only two minerals on Earth that do not hold or accumulate negative energy.
