Reiki Events and Conferences

For many years the Reiki energy has been guiding Laurelle and Michael to unique ways of bringing  Reiki practitioners together, and to facilitate the understanding that the applications for Reiki are truly limitless.

They co-facilitate the Annual International Reiki Retreat in Ellenville, NY on Labor Day Weekend. They have created the Reiki & Sound Healing Conference, and continue to fine creative ways to share Reiki with others. What Is Reiki Drumming?

Reiki Drumming is a specialized method of introducing Reiki energy into a client's energy field to facilitate deep relaxation and stress relief. As stress is relieved, tensions in the physical body are often released as well. Biofeedback research indicates that even brief heartbeat drumming can double light meditative brainwaves (alpha) and reduce stress. We now know that stress depresses the immune system and has been linked to nearly all diseases

Reiki Drumming affects the physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual bodies simultaneously, helping to bring them into harmony while raising the vibratory rate to levels which may allow the body to accelerate its innate healing abilities. Drumming reminds our body of its ideal vibratory rate, which is in harmony with the pulse of the earth and the Universal flow of creation.

Reiki Drumming introduces methods to enhance the power to send Reiki at a distance, through time, as well as to strengthen the vibration of the peace ray on the planet, while assisting in harmonizing our human consciousness with the Earth.

We connect directly with the Heart and the Mind of the Divine when we access Reiki energy. Drumming is also a way to align with the Divine, as has been experienced since ancient times, through native spiritual and shamanic healing practices.

Swiss scientist, Dr. Hans Jenny demonstrated how various substances such as sand; plastics and liquid would take on a particular shape and form when various sound waves were passed through them. These experiments may indicate that sound has the ability to affect and change the molecular structure of matter

Scientific studies related to the effect that sound has on matter are relatively new, yet we are already learning that sound alters matter. Sound is made only when a substance of matter, which is a solid, liquid or gas vibrates. Sound can not travel through a vacuum. Striking matter with something will cause it to vibrate, even when you use another vibration to strike the matter. Sound travels though different types of matter at different speeds. Traveling through water at about1,500 meters per second, iron at about 5,100 meters per second, and much slower through air at about 340 meters per second. Sound will cause a substance of matter to vibrate.

One substance of matter vibrating will cause other nearby substances of matter to vibrate. This is referred to as the sympathetic response. For instance when a drum, which is made of matter, is played by striking the drum with a mallet the drum head will vibrate causing the nearby molecules of air to vibrate. The vibrating molecules of air will strike other nearby molecules of air. This is known as a sound wave. This wave will continue and eventually reach the person that you are doing the drumming for causing the molecules composing their body to sympathetically respond with vibration. This may cause a rate of vibration, which is different than the vibration of disease. Possibly, when the drumming stops the body will return to a healthy rate of vibration.

We hear pitch on a scale of high pitch to low pitch; frequencies between 20 Hz (low pitch) and 15,000 Hz (high pitch). Slow rates of vibrations are heard as low pitched sounds and fast rates of vibration are heard as high pitched sounds. The rate of the vibration is known as frequency. So a high frequency sound is heard as a high pitch and a low frequency sound is heard as a low pitch.

We can hear the frequency that a drum creates and even record it on electronic devices. Although most of us are unable to actually hear the frequency of the Reiki energy, many of us can feel the frequencies of the various energies of Reiki.

After experiencing Reiki Drumming many people, who have not had the awareness of feeling Reiki’s energy, are able to feel Reiki. We suspect there is a simple explanation for this.  Could it be that after feeling the low frequencies of drumming mixed with what may be the high frequencies of Reiki the person has had a direct experience of what healing energy feels like? After having had such an experience are we then able to detect frequencies higher then the frequency of the drum’s sound and actually feel the healing energy of Reiki by itself? Based on our experiences the answer to both questions is yes.

Science has yet to develop devices to measure Reiki’s frequency, but we need to be patient . It was just a few decades ago that radio waves were just the idea of an eccentric thinker. With all of the amazing advancements of science we will likely one day soon have an electronic device that will measure what we all can already feel. The ability to feel Reiki is part of our Divine inheritance.

Reiki Drumming was born out of a blending of healing traditions from the east, the west and many ancient and enduring shamanistic spiritual ceremonial practices. Shamanic drumming, combined with Reiki becomes a powerful tool for awakening more fully to our purpose, and to assist us in co-creating and anchoring heaven on earth.

Since the beginning of time there has been evidence that humanity’s relationship with the Divine is enhanced through spiritual ceremonial practice.  Our goal through such ceremony and ritual is to align fully with the Heart and Mind of God and to deepen our awareness of our union with all of Creation.

There are many methods of incorporating Reiki and drumming to facilitate healing.  We have been guided to develop techniques for; a basic Reiki Drumming session, to enhance intuition and for various drum journeys that offer specialized healing focus.

Journeying is a cross cultural healing method that has been practiced by shamanic healers throughout the ages. A Reiki drum journey can help you connect spiritually to another point in time, another place, or an aspect of your consciousness for the purpose of finding answers, resolving issues, or positively impacting a situation.

The drum is known as “the Shaman’s horse” and it allows the Shaman to “ride” the sound waves created by the drum into another place to help a person heal. When combining Reiki with sound, the Divine wisdom inherent in the Reiki energy merges with the sound waves and creates a safe and sacred environment for healing.

Reiki Crystal Healing

One of the many beautiful things about Reiki is that no special tools are needed to affect a healing.  A practitioner simply needs to be a clear and open channel, with the ability to separate personality and ego from the healing process and let Reiki flow.  However, as we know, Reiki can assist and enhance other forms of complementary, natural, or allopathic treatment.

Crystals are unique additions to Reiki healings. They can serve as powerful tools to help us embrace the Divine light that is within us, and to harness this light to affect positive change in our physical, mental and emotional health, as well as in the way we relate with others and our environment. Crystals can teach us to integrate, reflect and magnify the pure, Divine life force that is found within all of creation.

Reiki crystal healing sessions employ Reiki energy, as well as the color, light, and sacred geometric forms contained within crystals and gemstones. The chakras, meridians and nadis, as well as the actual cells of our body facilitate the integration of these healing energies.  This beautiful combination of God-given healing tools, help us access deep levels of our consciousness and enhance our inner healing power.

Another wonderful aspect of Reiki energy is that it never causes harm.  I have discovered that many of our students have found this fact to be very freeing.  Our students often come to us from various professions and have learned other healing modalities. Often such modalities are taught with an expression of concern that when practiced improperly, harm can come to the client or patient. 

Over the nearly 17 years I have been practicing Reiki I have found the intuitive insight the energy offers, and the subsequent proven results, have completely erased such fears for me as well as for many of our students.  We can trust that when we activate Reiki at the beginning of a session, we will be guided to the right application of the various modalities and healing tools that we have been trained to use.

Reiki’s inherent wisdom assists us in communicating with the Divine mind, and the higher self of our client as well as with our own higher self.  When Reiki is included in a crystal healing, our ability to communicate with the stones can be enhanced as well.

Many crystals and gemstones have the unique ability to transmit high frequency light for extended periods of time.   This characteristic can be combined with Reiki energy to amplify the healing effects in a Reiki session.
